Description

Di Pacci — 60 mm Flat Burr On-Demand Espresso Grinder

Eureka Atom 60 Coffee Grinder

The Eureka Atom 60 is a quiet on-demand espresso grinder with 60 mm hardened steel flat burrs and Eureka's patented stepless adjustment.

The Eureka Atom 60 grinds into the portafilter through 60 mm hardened steel flat burrs driven by a 450 W motor, at about 1.9 to 3.1 g per second depending on grind size. Grind is set with Eureka's patented stepless micrometric adjustment, and single and double doses are timed from a digital display, with a manual button when you want to top up.

What sets the Atom apart from other compact espresso grinders is noise. Eureka's sound insulation and anti-vibration build make it noticeably quieter, which Eureka puts at up to 20 dB less than conventional grinders. The body is die-cast aluminium, the hopper holds 510 g, and it comes in Black, White or Chrome. It sits below the Atom 65 and Atom Specialty 75E in Eureka's range.

Key Features of the Eureka Atom 60

⚙️ 60 mm hardened steel burrs

Larger flat burrs than most home grinders, so a double dose grinds quickly and evenly for espresso.

🤫 Silent technology

Sound insulation and anti-vibration engineering keep it quiet enough for an early morning in an open-plan home.

🎚️ Patented stepless adjustment

Eureka's micrometric collar has no fixed steps, so you can make the tiny changes espresso needs.

⏱️ Timed single and double doses

Program single and double doses on the digital display, or grind manually from the button or portafilter switch.

🙌 Hands-free fork

The adjustable fork holds the portafilter for you while it grinds.

🧹 Easy burr access

The top burr is removable for cleaning, while grind adjustment is made on the lower burr so your setting stays put.

Why Stepless Adjustment Matters for Espresso

Espresso is unforgiving: a grind change of a few microns can move a shot by several seconds. Stepped grinders force you to choose between two settings that are both slightly wrong.

  • The Atom 60's micrometric collar turns smoothly with no detents.
  • You can move the grind by a fraction of what a stepped grinder allows, then lock in the shot time you want.
  • Because the setting is made on the lower burr, removing the top burr for cleaning doesn't lose your setting.

The result is a grinder you can dial to the exact point your beans taste best, then leave there day after day.

Atom 60 vs Atom 65

Both share Eureka's quiet Atom body and stepless adjustment. The step up is burr size.

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the Atom 60 for a quiet, capable home espresso grinder. Don't bother if you're grinding for a café bar or several machines; the Atom 65 or Atom Specialty 75E handles volume better.
