Coffee Hand Grinders

Our coffee hand grinders are manual burr grinders you turn by hand, with no motor and no cord. Pair one with your manual brewing gear or use it as a compact alternative to an electric coffee grinder.

The range is small and focused. It includes the Comandante C40 MK4 in several finishes, including Copper Mountain, Virginia Walnut and Burgundy, along with the Pietro vertical hand grinder, the Rhino Compact hand grinder and Precision hand grinders in wood and black stainless finishes. The Comandante is made in Germany and sets grind size by clicks, with its manufacturer listing espresso at the finer end and French press and AeroPress at the coarser end. Hand grinders suit single servings, so they are a natural fit with an AeroPress or a pour-over setup. For larger daily volume, look at our home grinders.

Choose by finish, size and how often you brew. Hand grinding takes a minute or two per serving, so heavy daily use may suit an electric model better; see our espresso grinder buyer guide to compare. Our team can advise by phone or email through the contact page, and we ship to all 50 states with shipping calculated at checkout.
