Description

Di Pacci — Limited Edition Dual Boiler E61 Espresso Machine

ECM Synchronika AMG Edition No. 1

The Synchronika Edition No. 1 is ECM's dual boiler flagship dressed by Mercedes-AMG, limited to 999 machines worldwide.

The ECM Synchronika Edition No. 1 is a limited run of 999 machines created by ECM with Mercedes-AMG. Underneath is the Synchronika platform: a dual boiler espresso machine with a 0.75 litre stainless steel coffee boiler, a 2.0 litre steam boiler, PID control of both boilers, a quiet rotary pump and ECM's E61 brew group.

What sets the Edition No. 1 apart is the finish: a brushed stainless steel housing with contrasting sporty side panels, black pressure gauges with red accents, carbon handles on the portafilters, brew lever and valves, a matching tamper, and the AMG crest on the back. It's a brand-new machine with a full Di Pacci warranty, and with only 999 made worldwide, we have very few units.

Key Features of the Synchronika Edition No. 1

🏁 Mercedes-AMG styling

Brushed stainless housing, sporty side panels, black-and-red gauges and the AMG crest on the back.

🖤 Carbon details

Carbon handles on the portafilters, brew lever and valves, plus a matching tamper in the box.

🔥 Dual boiler

A 0.75 litre coffee boiler and 2.0 litre steam boiler let you brew and steam at the same time.

🌡️ PID on both boilers

Set coffee and steam temperatures separately on the PID display, which also works as a shot timer.

⚙️ Quiet rotary pump

Runs from the water tank or a direct water connection, switchable on the machine.

☕ ECM E61 group

The heavy brass E61 group keeps temperature steady and pre-infuses the puck.

Why a Dual Boiler Makes a Difference

On a single boiler or heat-exchanger machine, brewing and steaming share one heat source. The Synchronika keeps them separate.

  • The 0.75 litre stainless steel coffee boiler holds brew water at the temperature you set on the PID.
  • The 2.0 litre steam boiler runs at its own temperature, so steaming never affects the shot.
  • Both are heated at once (1400 W and 1000 W elements), so you can pull a shot and texture milk side by side.

You get stable shot temperature and real steam power together, which is what makes the Synchronika a long-term home machine rather than a stepping stone.

Edition No. 1 vs the Standard Synchronika

The coffee hardware is the Synchronika platform. The difference is design and rarity.

Feature Edition No. 1 Standard Synchronika

Housing Brushed stainless, sporty side panels Polished stainless steel
Gauges Black with red accents Standard ECM gauges
Handles Carbon Standard ECM handles

Di Pacci recommendation: Choose the Edition No. 1 if the AMG design and the limited run matter to you; the coffee in the cup is the same as a standard Synchronika. Don't bother with it if you'd rather put the budget into flow control or a better grinder; a Lelit Bianca adds paddle flow control to a dual boiler.

Best Grinders for the Edition No. 1

Match the machine with a grinder that can resolve fine changes in grind.

Grinder Burrs Why it pairs well
Niche Zero 63 mm conical Single-dose, near-zero retention
Eureka Mignon Specialita 55 mm flat Quiet, stepless and compact
Mahlkönig E64 WS 64 mm flat Low retention and flat-burr clarity

Who This Machine Is For

✓ Ideal if you:
  • Want a limited, collectable machine
  • Make milk drinks and want true dual boiler performance
  • Want to choose between tank and plumb-in
  • Have a standard 10 amp outlet
  • Like German build quality and E61 simplicity
✗ Consider alternatives if you:
  • Want flow control built in; see the Lelit Bianca
  • Want the same performance for less; ask us about the standard ECM range in our ECM collection
  • Have under about 50 cm of bench depth
  • Only drink black coffee and don't need steam; a single boiler such as the ECM Classika PID is simpler
