The Compak Bolt 83 is built around a choice most grinders do not offer: two functional modes. Predose serves one or two doses ground in advance, for speed at peak. Fresh grinds one, two or three doses on demand, for quality when the queue allows. Being able to switch between them means one grinder covers a rush and a quiet mid-afternoon without compromising either.

Behind that sits a 610 W motor turning 83 mm burrs at 1,600 rpm, producing 30 kg/h at the espresso point — a 7 g dose in 1.6 seconds. A 2.8" TFT touchscreen handles configuration, with a portafilter detector, dose counters, and an alarm that tells you when the burrs are worn rather than leaving you to guess from taste.

About This Grinder

What is the difference between Predose and Fresh mode?
Predose serves one or two doses that were ground in advance, so the coffee is waiting when you need it — fastest during a rush. Fresh grinds one, two or three doses on demand, which is better for flavour because the coffee is ground at the moment of use. The Bolt 83 lets you switch between the two rather than committing to one workflow.
Should I choose the Bolt 83 or the Bolt 64?
Burr size and throughput. The 83 uses 83 mm burrs with a 610 W motor for higher output; the 64 uses smaller burrs and suits lower volumes. If you are running sustained peaks on a two or three group machine, the 83 is the safer choice. Tell our team your daily cup count and we will size it properly.
What does the burr wear alarm do?
The grinder tracks how much coffee has passed through and alerts you when the burrs are approaching the end of their service life — rated at around 1,200 kg. That replaces the usual approach of noticing your espresso has drifted and only then suspecting the burrs.
Is this grinder new, and what warranty does it carry?
