About This Machine

What's new in the Synchronika II vs the original Synchronika?
Three major upgrades: (1) Additional heating cartridges in the E61 brew group (3C Temp technology) cut heat-up time to 6.5 minutes — first in class for E61 machines. (2) New OLED PID display with tactile rotary knob centralizes all settings into one intuitive menu. (3) Active & passive programmable pre-infusion, shot counter, programmable on/off scheduling, and ECO mode add modern control. Core platform — dual stainless boilers, rotary pump, E61 group, hand-built in Heidelberg — remains unchanged.
What's the difference between Standard and Flow Control versions?
The Standard version uses the E61 group head with active & passive pre-infusion for classic E61 extraction. The Flow Control version adds the factory ECM flow control device — a manually-adjustable valve on the E61 group that lets you control flow (and therefore pressure) during extraction. Ideal for advanced techniques like pressure profiling, slow-ramped extractions, and tailoring shots to highlight sweetness, acidity, or body.
Can the Synchronika II be plumbed into a water line?
Yes. The Synchronika II is plumb-ready — connect directly to a water line for unlimited operation, ideal for daily volume use, small cafés, or households with very high consumption. Or use the removable water tank for portability and renter-friendly setups. Plumb-in mode is enabled via the OLED menu.
Is the Synchronika II suitable for a small café?
Yes — within limits. The commercial-grade rotary pump, dual independent boilers with 2-bar steam pressure, and plumbing capability make it suitable for small cafés serving up to ~50 cups per day. For higher volumes or sustained back-to-back service, step up to a commercial-grade machine designed for café duty cycles.
