Bezzera Duo — Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

The Duo is a premium dual boiler machine for home baristas who want professional-level control. Separate insulated copper boilers — 0.45L for brewing, 1.05L for steam — are independently PID-controlled, so brew temperature stays rock-solid while you have full steam power on tap. From Bezzera, founded in Milan in 1901 by Luigi Bezzera, inventor of the espresso machine, the Duo is built in AISI 304 stainless steel for years of café-grade performance at home.

A quiet rotary pump, settable pre-infusion, automatic backflush, a daily on/off timer, and a generous 4L tank (with plumb-in option) round out the package. Choose the Duo MN with the classic E61 lever group, or the Duo DE with Bezzera's electronic BZ group — which adds a third PID on the group itself and programmable volumetric dosing. A flow control option is available for those who want to profile their extractions.

Why the Duo

  • Dual Copper Boilers — full steam power, stable brew temp, no compromise.
  • Multi-PID Control — independent brew, steam, and (on the DE) group temperature.
  • 360° Steam & Hot Water Wands — joystick control, wood-grain handles.
  • Auto Backflush + Pre-Infusion — easier cleaning, better extraction.
  • 4L Tank or Plumbed — water-filter alarm, cup warmer on top.
  • Optional Flow Control — shape pressure through the shot for sweetness and control.

Who It's Built For

Serious home baristas: a true dual boiler with independent PID is the benchmark for temperature stability. Milk-drink and high-volume households: brew and steam at full power simultaneously. Profilers and tinkerers: settable pre-infusion, optional flow control, and group-level PID on the DE reward those who love to dial things in. Design-conscious kitchens: a choice of stainless, black, red, or white panels.

Why Buy From Di Pacci

Trusted source for new and pre-owned Bezzera and other leading coffee brands — like all prosumer espresso machines, the Duo doesn't include a grinder, and a quality burr grinder is essential to do a machine of this caliber justice, so our team can recommend a match. Every machine is backed by our warranty coverage. Talk to our team about which configuration is right for you.

About This Machine

What's the difference between the Duo MN and Duo DE?
The Duo MN uses the classic E61 lever group — you pull shots with a simple on/off lever, heated by circulating boiler water. The Duo DE uses Bezzera's electronic BZ group with its own dedicated PID, plus four programmable volumetric shot presets on a touch display. Choose MN for traditional, hands-on E61 brewing; choose DE for programmable volumetric dosing and group-level temperature control.
Can the Duo be plumbed in?
Yes — the Duo can run from its 4L internal tank or be plumbed directly into a water line, selectable on the machine. It also has a water-filter alarm and maintenance cycles to help protect the boilers.
What does the flow control option add?
The optional E61 flow-control device lets you adjust water flow and pressure during the shot by turning a paddle — pre-infuse low, ramp up, then taper toward the end. It's useful for improving sweetness, controlling channelling, and profiling light or specialty roasts.
Does this run on standard US power?
Confirm with our team which voltage variant you're receiving before ordering — this model is commonly listed at 220-240V for other markets.
