Ditting KR1403 Coffee Grinder — 140 mm Discs, 36.5 g/s

The Ditting KR1403 is the step up from the 1203: 140 mm special steel grinding discs driven by a 1900 W motor, producing 36.5 grams per second. Where the 1203 handles most retail and roastery workloads, the 1403 is for operations where grinding has become the bottleneck in daily production and throughput is the deciding spec.

Larger discs do more than grind faster. The bigger cutting surface means each bean spends less time under load, which keeps the grind cooler and the particle distribution tighter at high output. The KR configuration uses a manual bag attachment with a vibration unit, so grounds settle and fill evenly rather than mounding — the practical difference between a bag that seals cleanly and one that does not.

About This Grinder

What is the difference between the KR and KFA versions?
The bag attachment. KR uses a manual attachment with a vibration unit, so you fit the bag and the vibration settles the grounds evenly. KFA uses an automatic coffee bag attachment instead. If you are bagging in volume and want the process automated, the KFA suits; if you want manual control over each fill, the KR does.
Should I choose the KR1403 or the KR1203?
The 1403 runs 140 mm discs at 36.5 g/s; the 1203 runs 120 mm discs at 1400 g per minute. Choose the 1403 if grinding is currently the bottleneck in your production day, or if you are grinding large batch volumes regularly. If the 1203 clears your daily kilos comfortably, it does the same job for less.
What electrical supply does the KR1403 need in the US?
The specification lists 230 V with a 1900 W power input. US mains is typically 120 V, and a 1900 W draw needs a dedicated circuit regardless of voltage. Contact our team to confirm the supply configuration of the unit we ship you, and speak to an electrician about the circuit before installation day.
Is the KR1403 certified for US commercial kitchens?
It carries CE, CB, UL and NSF listings, with further certifications available on request. UL and NSF are the two most commonly required for US commercial food-service sign-off, so it should specify into a compliant kitchen without difficulty.
