Ditting KFA1403 Coffee Grinder — 140 mm Burrs, Automatic Bag Clamp

The Ditting KFA1403 is built for daily capacity. Specially developed 140 mm wear-resistant steel burrs, a 2.7 HP motor and 8 lbs per minute of grind speed make it the answer for roasteries and busy coffee stores where the grinding step has become the constraint on how much product goes out the door.

The KFA designation is the part that matters operationally: it uses an automatic bag clamp rather than the manual clamp and shaking unit fitted to the KR version. If you are filling bags continuously through a production run, automating the clamp removes the slowest repeated manual action in the workflow. Grind adjustment is stepless across the full range, and the burrs are rated for roughly 35,000 lbs of coffee before replacement.

Ideal For

Roasteries and high-volume coffee stores with substantial daily grinding workloads, particularly operations bagging retail product in production runs. Before ordering, confirm your site has a 3-phase supply and an L15-20P outlet — many US retail spaces are single-phase only, and this is the detail most likely to derail an installation.

About This Grinder

Does the KFA1403 need a 3-phase power supply?
Yes. It runs 200–240 V, 2000 W, 10 A on 3-phase power with a NEMA L15-20P twist-lock plug. Many US retail and cafe spaces are single-phase only, so confirm your supply with an electrician before ordering. If you do not have 3-phase available, talk to our team and we will point you to a single-phase alternative.
What is the difference between the KFA1403 and the KR1403?
The bag attachment. The KFA uses an automatic bag clamp with no bag shaking unit; the KR uses a manual bag clamp with a shaking unit that settles the grounds as the bag fills. Choose the KFA to automate continuous bagging, or the KR for manual control and vibration-assisted filling.
This is a special order — what does that mean?
The unit is brought in for you rather than held in stock, so there is a production and freight window before dispatch. Contact our team to confirm current availability and lead time before you order, particularly if you are timing it to a fit-out or a production deadline.
How long do the burrs last before replacement?
The 140 mm wear-resistant steel burrs are rated for approximately 35,000 lbs of coffee. For a roastery grinding a few hundred pounds a week that represents years of service, and it is a genuinely useful number for forecasting maintenance cost over the machine's life.
