How To Backflush With EVO®

Follow Cafetto's recommended method for traditional and semi-automatic machines with a three-way valve.

1Load

Swap the coffee filter for a blind filter and add one level scoop of EVO®.

2Cycle

Run 10 seconds, stop 10 seconds, and repeat several times to dissolve and clean.

3Rinse

Remove and rinse the group handle, then backflush with the blind filter and plain water until clear.

4Re-season

Refit a regular filter, then brew and discard one espresso before serving.

Always follow the dosing and cycle instructions on the tub for your specific machine. For daily cleaning use one level scoop; if cleaning less often, use two.

How often should I clean my machine with it?

A common routine is a detergent backflush once every week or two for regular home use, and daily for busy commercial machines. Backflush with plain water more frequently between detergent cleans. Always check your machine manufacturer's guidance.

Will it leave a taste or residue?

No. EVO® is rapidly soluble and free-rinsing, so it clears completely without leaving odour or residue. After cleaning and rinsing, brew and discard one espresso to re-season the machine before serving.

We offer a 14-day return policy — you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, with proof of purchase, and a 30% restocking fee applies.
