Bialetti Venus Moka Pot — Stainless Steel Stovetop Espresso

The Bialetti Venus brings the classic Italian moka ritual — invented by Alfonso Bialetti in 1933 — into a modern 18/10 stainless steel body that works on every cooktop, including induction. It brews rich, full-bodied stovetop coffee in about 4–5 minutes with no electricity, no pods, and no waste.

Unlike the original aluminum Moka Express, the Venus is dishwasher safe and induction compatible, with 20% thicker boiler walls for better heat distribution and durability. Its slender polished profile, anti-scald ergonomic handle, and patented easy-clean safety valve make it as practical as it is handsome on the stovetop.

🇮🇹 Italian Design Since 1933 ✨ 18/10 Stainless Steel 🔥 Induction Compatible 🧼 Dishwasher Safe ☕ 2, 4 & 6-Cup Sizes ✅ Tariffs & Duties Included

Why the Venus

  • 18/10 stainless steel — corrosion-resistant, no aluminum taste, holds its polished shine cycle after cycle.
  • Works on every cooktop — gas, electric, ceramic, and induction (the 2-cup needs an adapter plate).
  • Dishwasher safe — all components, though many purists prefer a water-only rinse to keep the seasoned patina.
  • 20% thicker boiler walls — improved heat distribution and retention for even extraction.
  • Patented safety valve — easy-clean pressure-release design for safe, reliable brewing.
  • No pods, no electricity — authentic coffee for pennies per cup, with zero waste.

Choosing Your Size — Espresso Servings, Not Mugs

Moka "cups" measure traditional Italian espresso servings (roughly 2 oz each), not full 8–12 oz American mugs. Fill the boiler to just below the safety valve and fill the funnel with grounds — a larger pot can't brew a small batch well, so match the size to your everyday output.

2-Cup (90 ml / 3 oz) Solo drinker or a single cappuccino. 75mm base × 135mm. Requires an induction adapter plate.
4-Cup (170 ml / 5.7 oz) 1–2 people — 2 espresso shots or 1 cappuccino. 90mm base × 170mm. The everyday couple's size.
6-Cup (240 ml / 7.9 oz) 2–3 people — 3 cappuccinos or 6 espresso shots. 100mm base × 200mm. The most popular household size.

About This Moka Pot

Does the Bialetti Venus work on induction?
Yes. The Venus is made from 18/10 stainless steel with a magnetic base, so it works on induction as well as gas, electric, and ceramic cooktops — no adapter needed for the 4-cup and 6-cup. The smaller 2-cup size has a base too small for most induction rings, so it needs an induction adapter plate.
How many actual cups does a "6-cup" make?
Moka sizing is in Italian espresso servings of about 2 oz each, not full mugs. A 6-cup Venus makes roughly 7.9 oz (240 ml) total — enough for 2–3 cappuccinos or 6 short espresso-style servings. If you drink large American-style mugs, size up or dilute with hot water for an Americano.
Is it dishwasher safe, or should I hand-wash?
Bialetti states the Venus is dishwasher safe across all components. That said, many moka enthusiasts prefer rinsing with water only (no soap) so the coffee oils season the interior over time. Either way, dry all parts fully before reassembling to prevent moisture sitting between components.
What grind should I use in a moka pot?
Use a medium-fine grind — slightly coarser than espresso, finer than drip. Fill the funnel and level it gently with your finger, but don't tamp; compressing the grounds creates too much resistance and can trigger the safety valve. Espresso-fine grinds tend to clog the filter and over-extract, giving bitter coffee.
